Soroptimist International Guernsey Railing Against Abuse

The local branch of Soroptimist International are organising an event to coincide with the UNITED NATIONS International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on Saturday 25th November, 2017.

Help raise awaremess and show you care

You can join in with this awareness raising initiative whether you are a man, woman, child (bring an adult with you) or youth! Come along to the event at the Market Place in St Peter Port from 9.30am until 10am on Saturday November 25th.  We hope this is an accessible location but please contact Sue by email at taylors2@cwgsy.net, or Mercedes at merccoff2344@gmail.com if you need any other information.

The aim is to get as many people as posible to show solidarity for the campaign and to show that we care. By doing this we can raise awareness and trigger action to end the global scourge of violence against women, girls, men and boys.

We are encouraging everyone to wear something orange (wigs, coats, hats etc) to make a statement and “orange the world”.
Please join us and the Soroptimists for this brief time.
It would also be great if you could display the PDF poster if you can which can be found at Railing Against Abuse .
If you would like to find out more about what the UN did last year in its Orange the world campaign go to http://www.unwomen.org/en/news/stories/2016/11/orange-the-world-2016 .
