A beautiful wintery scene of children having a snowball fight at L’Ancresse is the subject for Roy Tubby’s Guernsey poster print number 10. Under the wintery pink sky you can join the fun round the Martello Tower. There are a number of loophole towers remaining on L’Ancresse Common – see if you can match one with the print next time you are in the area!
Ray, the artist’s son has said the following about this painting. “One of the rare occasions when the common would have been covered in snow probably winter 1986. Dad could see this tower from his house and would walk his dog around there most mornings.”
Safer has also used this image to create beautiful Christmas cards which you can also buy from this site.
The print will look fantastic in your lounge, dining room, bedroom, office – just about anywhere! It will also look great with other pictures by Roy that we have on sale.
