Le Crocq in St Sampson’s harbour provides inspiration for Roy Tubby to create a beautiful picture which is Guernsey poster print 14. The intricate rigging of the boats with the block wash of the power station and Marine and General background gives this a timeless classic feel which you could look at for hours. The print will look fantastic in your lounge, dining room, bedroom, office – just about anywhere! It will also look great with other pictures by Roy that we have on sale.
Ray, the artist’s son had the following to say about this picture. “From back in the day when St Sampson’s was still a working Harbour and wooden fishing boats were still used. In the distance you can see the crane that was being used to erect the smoke stacks for the new generators at the PowerStation.”
This is a reproduction of a watercolour by Guernsey artist Roy Tubby. His family and his son, Ray Tubby, have generously given Safer use of the images for two years, so prints will be limited.
