Church Square, St Peter Port in the spring, with buds just appearing on the trees in the foreground, is the subject of Guernsey poster print 5 by artist Roy Tubby. You can get the feeling of change and new growth from this bright picture with its skybluepink sky complementing the warm granite.
It shows just how close the Town Church is to the Albion House pub. According to an entry in the Guinness World Records this is the closest church to a pub in Great Britain, the distance being just 18 inches.
The artist’s son, Ray, says of this picture. “Like the Trinity square and St James day time scenes one of what I call dad’s Sunday pictures showing Church Square on a cool sunny spring morning. So much has happened here through the years, so much laughter so much tears, so one thing I know is true if you are from Guernsey this place is part of you.”
The print will look fantastic in your lounge, dining room, bedroom, office – just about anywhere! It will look great as in a group with other works by Roy that we have for sale on this site.
