Guernsey poster print number 1 is a beautiful A3 print of Contree Mansell in St Peter Port, Guernsey. Painted on a wet night this is a very atmospheric scene with amazing reflections. The artist, Roy Tubby, has captured the mood of this street scene superbly. It makes you want to reach for your umbrella and splash in a puddle! Roy Tubby used to have a business close by to where this picture was painted. He has cleverly used one of the shop adverts to sign his work.
The artist’s son Ray says; “This picture makes me think of a late wet Saturday afternoon in November hurrying home to get in the warm and dry and have a cup of tea, for sure if this picture was any wetter the paper it is painted on would be soggy.”
The print will look fantastic in your lounge, dining room, bedroom, office – just about anywhere!
